Beauty and lifestyle influencer Chiara King, playing a fictionalised version of herself, agrees to a fly-on-the-wall documentary promising an unfiltered look at the glamorous business of online fame, travelling to Copenhagen with a film crew in tow. As millions of devoted followers track her every post, an obsessive stalker begins closing in from behind his own screen, and the documentary footage gradually mutates from viral content into evidence of a violent crime, blurring the line between fan devotion and predatory obsession. Produced by Blair Witch Project creators Eduardo Sánchez and Gregg Hale, the found-footage thriller is inspired by real events.
Review:
A chillingly of-the-moment found-footage update from genre pioneers, its social-media setting giving genuine fresh dread to a familiar stalker premise, even where its final act leans on well-worn scares.
