As a severe drought threatens their meadow community, an organised platoon of ants sets out to find a solution, but Arnie and Barney, the least capable members of the group, decide the job is theirs to handle instead. Their bumbling, slapstick efforts inadvertently uncover a shady water racket run by the meadow's criminal underworld, forcing the unlikely duo to team up with Szzkeat, a secretive superhero mosquito, in a spin-off adventure spun from the beloved Maya the Bee universe. Excellent entertainment for young Maya the Bee fans, its offbeat, over-the-top slapstick keeping audiences laughing almost constantly even where its capitalism-critiquing subplot leans on familiar villain stereotypes.
