Jonathan, a reserved and emotionally guarded butler, has devoted his life to serving the aristocratic Lord Arlington. So when he is dispatched to turn around the ailing Blueberry Inn, a country pub on the brink of closure, he obeys without question, unaware that the assignment is part of an experiment by his employer. When the Lord dies suddenly, Jonathan discovers he has been left a share in the inn, along with its three chaotic employees. With just one month to make the business pay, and the late Lord's resentful heirs determined to see him fail, the stiff-backed butler must learn to work with his unlikely team, and the local community, to keep the pub's doors open.
