Synopsis:
Its title the Japanese term for death from overwork, Karoshi is set in a near-future, Japanese-influenced Manhattan where corporate loyalty and cultural tradition have reshaped daily life. After the death of a worker, a mysterious outsider infiltrates a powerful company and begins to expose the brutality hidden beneath its polished surface, in a revenge story that brings samurai codes into the boardroom. Teo Yoo, Isabel May and Cynthia Erivo head a cast that also includes Takehiro Hira, Bill Camp, Show Kasamatsu and Giancarlo Esposito.
Review:

Produced by Chad Stahelski, director of the John Wick films, and written and directed by Takashi Doscher, whose earlier work includes the thriller Only. The film was shot in Vancouver in 2025.
