The sequel to Mel Brooks's 1987 comedy, which parodied Star Wars and other science-fiction films, brings back several of the original cast, with Rick Moranis returning as Lord Dark Helmet, Bill Pullman as Lone Starr, Daphne Zuniga as Vespa, George Wyner as Colonel Sandurz and Mel Brooks himself, who turned 100 in 2026, as Yogurt and President Skroob. Lewis Pullman, Bill Pullman's son, plays Prince Starburst, and Keke Palmer plays Destiny, while Josh Gad, who co-wrote the script, plays a Mawg, the species of John Candy's character Barf. The film is directed by Josh Greenbaum, director of Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar and Strays.
